Product flipping on EBay

January 7th, 2009 | Posted in product flipping

EBay is another website like Amazon which has some really good deals on products. Flipping items on EBay can also be a very profitable business for those of you want to make some money online. If you are looking for an opportunity online to make some money EBay just might do the trick for you.

EBay has a section called as the “great finds for you” section which basically lists all the current good deals available for an EBay user. Here again you will come across items that are sold for at a cost that is much lower than the actual market price. You can avail of good deals and discounts on this section. The basic idea to this is that you pick up stuff from here and sell it at a different time. The one thing you can use to your advantage here is time. If your timing is good enough, you can buy these products before they run out and then sell them at a later date with a big mark-up of 30-35%. Products in this section are usually good and sell fast so you should grab them quickly.  Another thing you can use to your advantage is the marketing of the product. If you want to flip a product between sites, you can pick one that has not been advertised on the second sight well and put it up for sale. That way you will increase your chances of re-selling.

There are other categories on EBay like “more cool stuff for you” and “more great finds”. If you browse the “more cool stuff for you” section you will find items on discount. Under the “more great finds” section you will see what other people are looking for. This is a great way to know what the demand scenario in the market is. However, while all this sounds easy and good you must always make sure that what you are buying has a market, or you will be stuck with goods that are not selling.

Tips on lucrative product flipping

January 5th, 2009 | Posted in product flipping

Product flipping is a method of making money online in which you buy a product from one site at a lower rate and sell it after a mark-up on another website. The popular sites where you can do this sort of business are Craigslist, Amazon and EBay. However, as every business, this too has its pros and cons and you must know the amount of risk you have to take. Let’s look at some points on how to make this business lucrative.

Before you purchase a product, the most important thing to do is to know whether there is any demand for it. This kind of information requires a little bit of research. Look around for what people are buying and what they are not. It will take some time for you to get used to it but when you do, your products will sell like hot cakes.

Look at all the costs involved. Sites charge for certain products and postage can also cost quite a bit especially if you are sending the products across the world. You have to take into consideration what your profit margin is going to be after you deduct these costs. If it still is feasible for you, then you can go ahead with it.

Who are you purchasing goods from? Make sure the seller you are purchasing goods from is a known seller who has a good history. People work hard to get good reputations on sites like EBay. If you want your business to grow quickly, you must flip products that are genuine and of a good quality. Beware of fraudsters who are out there to swindle you.

Another very important thing you must think about is the timing. When a product appears on a site and is hot, you should grab it quickly and resell it at a time when you know it is not being sold elsewhere for less. Happy selling!

I’m about to get serious with my ebay business. Do I need to file paper work outside of a 1040 form? Or is it as simple as filling out the income line? I’m confused since its self employment. Do I need a business license?

Product flipping – Amazon’s deal of the day

December 25th, 2008 | Posted in product flipping

There are various ways of making quick money on the internet. All you have to really do is find the right time and cash in. It is really all about timing. If your timing is perfect and you are smart enough to catch on with the trends, you have a world of opportunities open for you.

Amazon.com is known for having an offer called the “deal of the day”. This offer usually changes every day or every few days. Details of this offer can be found on the website itself and is rather self explanatory. For someone who is looking to make some money, this is a good deal. Certain products are available and excellent discount prices which are usually not available elsewhere. All you have to do is be on time to purchase these products at the price Amazon has quoted. The price quoted by Amazon is usually much lower than the market price for these products. Once you purchase this products, they will most probably not be available elsewhere for the same price. You can then cash in by raising the price of the product and even selling it for its original market value. Again, you must be careful as to what you are purchasing. The question here is: does your product have a demand in the market? If the answer to that question is yes, you can make yourself some good money.

Browse through the Amazon’s “deal of the day”, “lightning deals” and “best deals” to know what’s hot and what’s selling on the market. Amazon also has an SMS service that will keep you updated on deals which are of interest to you. It can help you closely monitor the website and get alerts whenever there is something you should know about.

Flipping products – other deals on amazon.com

December 18th, 2008 | Posted in product flipping

Amazon.com is known for having lots of deals which you can benefit from. Whether you want to purchase products for yourself or you want to flip a product to make some money online, Amazon is the place for you. Apart from the regular “deal of the day” Amazon has a few other deals in which you can procure items at prices much below the market rate.

All these deals on Amazon are known as Gold Box Deals including the “deal of the day”.  The other deals that they have are “our best deals”, “lightning deals”, “quick picks” and “combining deals”.

The ‘our best deals” section is particularly informative in that it lists all the discounted deals available on the entire Amazon website and it serves as a comprehensive search option when you are looking for something specific. The “lightning deals” section is different in that it lists deals which are available only for specific periods of time. It displays the amount of time these deals will begin in and also how long they will last. The “quick picks” section on the other hand is a list of select discount items which usually come to you with certain coupons which allow you to purchase a product at an even better and lower price. The “combining deals” sections, as its name goes allows you to combine as many different deals as you want together. However, the hitch here is that you cannot combine too many purchase coupons as you may not get them. Amazon sports a self explanatory website with an easy to use interface for a buyer. This website is excellent for those of you who want to make some dough online by flipping products. You have to closely monitor these deals so that you are the first few to see what’s up for grabs. If you pick the right time and get the right price, you can definitely get rich!

Advantages of Flipping as a business

December 15th, 2008 | Posted in Advantages

There are many advantages of flipping as a business. If you want to make some extra cash or make this your main business, you have tons of opportunities because the internet is free for all.

The biggest advantage of flipping products to earn a living is that you get to do this in the comfort of your own home. You don’t have to go to office and you don’t have to undergo the stress of dealing with a nasty boss. Another thing is, you work on your own terms and conditions. This is your business and you are responsible for it. If you don’t turn up for work for a day, you won’t have to worry about losing a job. Another advantage of such a situation is that the internet is free for all. There are a ton of classified sites out there which allow you to register for free or for a fee that is very nominal. Another advantage of working like this is the fact that you can find almost anything on EBay, Amazon and Craigslist. No matter how rare or how absurd a product is, you will always find someone who is selling it and if marketed well you will always find someone who is buying it. Another good thing about product flipping is that it is legal as well. Sites like EBay and Amazon are out there for you to buy and they also want you to sell. And you are doing both while making it profitable to you. So everyone is a winner. Check out the deals sections on each of these sites as they always have something special in which you can procure goods for less or get discount coupons. If you keep your eyes open and work smartly, you can really make a full time business out of this.
